How do you know a risk is worth taking?

If your heart beats hard.

Harder than it does when you sprint down a hill barefoot, or laugh unrestrainedly.

If you’re mostly scared, but slightly enthralled. If you can’t really tell where the line ends between the two.

If it makes you feel like a maniac and a genius all at once.

If you feel a deep, groaning pulling in your stomach and a fluttering, electric pumping in your heart.

If you can tell it won’t hurt another soul, and if it does, how to learn and grow from it.

If it makes you feel wholly and terrifyingly human.

I personally have never regretted a risk I’ve taken in my life (except perhaps in Monopoly).

I’m making it a goal of mine for this year, to take some more. To be immensely and insanely risky in how i live.

Life is truly to short to not, i believe.

Sorry for the duplicate comments. A few problems with WordPress right now – but this post is beautiful. It matches my thoughts about life – a theme I’ve always carried with me for the past couple of decades, and that is what to do if bored with life in some area. It is simple: pursue risk… it’ll make a difference. The photos and words you use to explain why it makes a difference are beautifully done. 🙂
